The name
Oikos means household.
It is the Greek word for a household and everyone in it, the working unit a community
is actually made of. That is who we build for. Not enterprises with a procurement
department, and not consumers with an app habit, but the organizations in between,
where one person is usually doing three jobs and the software is supposed to help.
It is also how we build. Five products on one foundation, sharing a design, an
accounting engine and a login, so the suite gets more useful the more of it you run.
Most software companies hand you a pile of apps that never quite talk to each other.
We would rather build one house.
